Antonio Lamont Fitzgerald, native of Danville, VA, is the son of Mr. Lloryd Newman and Ms. Mary Fitzgerald. He was born at the Danville Memorial Hospital on March 8, 1985. He has one sibling by the name of Mrs. Patricia Fitzgerald Edmunds who is married to Mr. Willie Edmunds; three nephews, Monta Fitzgerald, Cyntez Fitzgerald, and Willie Edmunds Jr.; two step-nieces, LaQuia Elder and Fran Garland. His family extends with two wonderful godparents, Dr. Eula Payne & Bishop John C. Williams, Jr., and a spiritual grandmother Ms. Remonia Wright.
Antonio's spiritual foundation began at the Holy Tabernacle of Jesus Christ, "God's Dwelling House", under the leadership of Bishop Daisy Wilson. In 1990, he joined New Hope Apostolic Church under the pastorship of Bishop Major L. Hairston and Lady Shirley Hairston. Currently, he serves the following positions: Associate Minister, Youth Advisor to the Youth Department, choir director & member of the Voices of Praise, Assistant President to the Brotherhood, member of the Adult Praise Team, and Teen Sunday School Teacher.
Currently, he is pursuing a Bachelor in Religious Studies at Virginia University of Lynchburg. He is a part of the Satellite program, facilitated by Dr. Philip Campbell at the Bible Way Cathedral. Outside of ministry, Antonio enjoys cutting hair and attended the Cultural Arts Training Center to enhance his craft as a Barber. Antonio is very active in the community and has been a part of organizations such as the following: The Distinguished Gents, The New City Boyz Choir, Assistant Director of the 2000-2002 George Washington High School Gospel Choir, Southern Virginia Youth Mass Choir, One Accord Unlimited, Inc., organized the 500 Youth-N-Black Program, and help to organize the 1st City Wide Youth Revival. His influence in the community has inspired him to develop an outreach ministry. On March 15, 2007, Antonio received a business license to operate A.L.F. Outreach Ministries & Media Network. The goal of this ministry is to help promote unity & break up division among the body of Christ. On August 12, 2007, Antonio preached his Initial Sermon at the New Hope Apostolic Church entitled “Here am I, Lord I’m Available Now.” On Monday, October 22, 2007, Antonio was blessed to birth The Chosen Generation music ministry to help promote local talent/ministry gifts in our local community,
Antonio L. Fitzgerald has been charged with the task to make Christ known to a lost and dying world. It's his heart's desire to please the Lord and evangelize the unadulterated word of God, without fear or compromise, to the nation.
